  • Height- Round up or down?

I would first like to apologize if this is a duplicate thread. I did use the search feature to try and find this topic in here.

On the National Guard Web site, in the Heights & Weights chart, down at the bottom, it states "If the height fraction is 1/2 inch or greater, round up."

My issue is I am exactly 5 feet 6.5 inches tall. I thought that since the chart for personal H&W reference tells you to round up that the recruiters would be told to do the same when charting an applicants H&W. But I was told "we don't round up". Can I get some clarification as to if it is in the recruiter's protocol to not round up at the half inch or higher?

I'm just confused, and just slightly annoyed :P

Thanks for your time and input.

Because you are that close, round down, someone may measure you at under the half inch mark one day. I know of MANY who get wrote down at different heights depending on who is measuring.
