Re: What's your favorite Candence

You guys are making me sad reading all these cadences :( I really enjoyed that part of BCT/AIT.

I can't think of a cadence I didn't like.
My fav though was:
I hear ya callin'
callin' for me
92 Yankee (Queen of the Battle was good too but we're proud to be 92Y's)
Bravo Bull Dogs<---AIT company (just sounded great!)
Is what you wanna be
Your left your right now get on up
your left your right now get on down
get on up
get on down
get on up now
break it down
that funky, that funky, that funky funky boog-a-lu
If I can do it so can you

I enjoyed:
THE YELLOW BIRD
THE PRETTIEST GIRL
TINY BUBBLES

Another one I love was:

This Army life is not my style
It's got me lookin like Gomer Pyle
I used to date Alecia Keys
Now I date my M16
This Army life is not my style
It's got me lookin like Gomer Pyle
Uh Oh oh no
Sha na na na na na na
This Army life is not my style
It's got me, it's got me, it's got me lookin like Gomer Pyle

Ok done with hijacking the thread.

Re: What's your favorite Candence

Don't know many cadences, but I really like this one:

Everywhere I go
There's a Drill Sergeant there
Everywhere I go
There's a Drill Sergeant there
Drill Sergeant
Drill Sergeant
Everywhere I go

When I get out of bed
There's a Drill Sergeant there
When I get out of bed
There's a Drill Sergeant there
Drill Sergeant
Drill Sergeant
Why don't you leave me alone
And let me go back home

When I go downtown
There's a Drill Sergeant there
When I go downtown
There's a Drill Sergeant there
Drill Sergeant
Drill Sergeant
Why don't you leave me alone
And let me go back home

i enjoy "I'm a steam roller baby" since it seems to be one a of only a few engineer cadences. anyone else know a good combat engineer cadence?

I know that these aren't the cadences from the 20th or even now 21st century but I always liked the Music from the American Revolution and the Civil War. I always used to get that song Bonnie Blue Flag stuck in my head.

Re: What's your favorite Candence

We march about 4 miles a day here so we go through a lot of cadences. Someone asked at the beginning of the thread if anyone has ever done the spongebob squarepants cadence... I have, just for fun. It was my first time marching some soldiers, and that was the first one I though of, so I did it. It was pretty funny.

Here's some of the cadences that we do every day... I don't know the names of all of them so I'll just do the first few lines.

I hear you callin', callin for me, queen of the battle, airborne infantry

my girls a vegetable

everywhere I go, there's a drill sergeant there

left right left right left right kill

82nd, patch on my shoulder

hi ho lock and load, the engines are running they're ready to go

I don't know but I think I can, take the S from superman

hey hey captain Jack

I'm a steamroller baby

buh buh, remix ha ha ha, buh buh bulldogs on the prowl, who wants to test us now

down by the river

1234, shoot 'em in the head shoot 'em in the head kill 'em

my buddies in a foxhole

a yellow bird, with a yellow bill, was sitting on, my window sill, I lured him in, with a piece of bread, and then I smashed his little head. I called the doctor, and the doctor said, indeed my friend the bird is dead. The moral of, the story is, you want some head, you need some bread.

That's all I can think of right now, but I know there's more. I enjoy doing cadences when everyone sounds off and it's actually motivating.
