  • 68W Reclass Training for Prior Service

Ran a quick search, and although admittedly I breezed through the results, I didn't locate an answer to my question.

I am a prior service, active duty 13F, considering reenlisting in the North Carolina National Guard as a 68W. My recruiter had indicated in passing that the National Guard has a sort of "OJT" (or compressed) 68W course. In any case, if I pursued this MOS, I would not get trained at Sam Houston.

Can any one confirm? Has any one completed National Guard 68W training?

I have to admit that this revelation has sort of soured me to the MOS. Knowing the vital role of the medic (and, thus, why it appeals to me), I would hope to have the opportunity to complete the best training available.

    Any info? Thank you.

Fort Knox has been running a 68W course for the NG. I know that is where we have been sending our new ppl. It is still the full course just diffrent location from what I have been told.
