  • Full Training Cycle

Ok, I havent been able to assertain this information:
I plan on going to OCS. I would like to do miltary intelligence or signal corps, but im not 100% yet. But after basic, i go to my unit till OCS starts. Then after OCS, would I have still more training? If so, is that full time (i.e. would i be away for another couple of months?) Or is it training 1 weekend a mont 2 weeks a year?

Thanks in advance. and if someone gets offended (trolls) i am sorry to them as well.

    Re: Full Training Cycle

After OCS comes BOLC where you'll get qualified for your branch- its the equivalent of AIT for enlisted soldiers. The course length varies based on which route you take. I haven't heard of any BOLC courses that aren't a straight shot through, so you'll be going for the specified amount of time it takes to complete the course.

There arent any BOLC courses that arent a straight shot. You'll be gone awhile to any of the various luxurious army resorts like Fort Benning, Fort Leonwardwood, etc.

The shortest (that I know of) is Infantry at 16 weeks (four months).
