  • Colorado National Guard - Waiver Time Length

Trying to get some clarification, perhaps some information about the Colorado National Guard. Put in for a waiver some time ago but I am told they are possibly waiting to release any waivers from up top until the end of September (end of recruiting year). Does this seem right? Is there someone who can be contacted who might have more information on this process?

Re: Colorado National Guard - Waiver Time Length

No matter what the state, once a waiver has been sent up it is a waiting game for everyone. The unfortunate fact is that noone at the local level can get a status update on anything until they get a decision on the waiver itself. Since we are coming up on the end of this fiscal year in September there is a lot going on accross the Army and other branches of the military - and yes recruiting is affected. Expect delays to an already long process...

Your best bet is to stay in touch with your recruiter (try not to be a pest - your recruiter knows exactly the same as you do until the decision is made) and keep a positive attitude in preparation for that decision.
