  • Advice needed

This may be a stupid post but as I have no prior experience so I wanted to ask. I am a licensed PA-C going through the direct commission process as a 65D. I have finished all the paperwork and had to wait awhile to get a DODMERB physical exam done. Now that is finally done with, I just found out that I am being let go at my civilian job.
My questions are: If it is not happening for another few months, how soon should I let the recruiter know? Is this something that will affect my ability to complete the process?
Also since nothing is official should I even mention joining the Guard on a resume for future employment?
I know that these are not cut and dry questions but any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    It shouldn't affect your accessioning.

It depends on where you are applying. At a civilian doctor's officer maybe not, for the federal gov., yes.
