  • MEPS color testing

Ive taken some online tests recently the Ishihara colorblind testing coloured dots, and I am pretty certain I will fail it. Can someone explain the FALANT lantern test you take if you fail Ishihara, if you pass the Falant can you get any MOS? ALso some places I saw the only color testing they took was that they were given two cards of vivid red and vived green and asked to tell which one is which. I can see every color and never knew I was red-green deficient until now.

I want a mos in the 35 series but they all say they require colored vision on usmilitary.com

I got a 85 on AFQT today but I am worried about the next trip to MEPS of them telling me my only possible job is Shower and Laundry specialist.

I took the Ishihara at MEPS and failed miserably. I think I got about 2/14 correct. I see bright red and green just fine, but not the different shades used in the test. While I hate the fact that I failed a test, I still got to join as a medic which is the only MOS I was willing to accept anyway.

Good luck - I hope you get the MOS you want.

It's a book with colored dots and you have to make out the numbers.
