  • BCT for females, FLW weather, and training style

Is it true that after reception, the males are separated from the females for BCT? Or is it co-ed...mixed? Just curious!

It is mixed...of course not sleeping areas, but the training is.

        How's the training?

Is the training tougher at Fort Leonard Wood than the other bases? I've heard some stories so far...

What is the weather like at Fort Leonard Wood around mid January to April?

It's all subjective to where someone went and what they (and you) consider 'tough'.

Everybody will say that their's was the hardest, and all the Drill Sergeants will tell you that they are the toughest and you are in the toughest unit. The same thing happened when I went through 14 years ago. The first day our Senior Drill Sergeant told us we were all lucky because we were put in the toughest training unit at Ft Sill. blah, blah, blah...they are basically all the same. Some end up with more privileges than others, but that more often depends on the particular drill sergeants you end up with and also how well the people in your company are able to act.
