right now I'm in paramedic school and they do not offer a leave of absence for the military/BCT. So I was wondering how long, if I were to join today, I could put off BCT until my recruiter finally makes me go? (FYI, paramedic school is 16 months long.)

So no paramedic students ever get sick, or pregnant, or otherwise depart in the middle and then return?

Due to the amount of information/subject matter covered, it is paramount to miss as few days as possible. In DCMT during the EMT phase, the maximum amount of hours we could miss of class was 8. If you keep in mind how long sick call takes, 8 hours is probably about one day, maybe two, of sick leave. And THAT was just for EMT-B.
