Does a National Guard Soldier get dependent pay on top of his/her base pay?
Only if the National Guard Soldier is on Active Duty status and is qualified to receive basic allowance for housing (BAH). The increased pay comes in as receiving BAH at a rate of "with dependants" vs "without".
There is also a family seperation allowance (250 bucks last time I checked, may be more now) that soldiers receive if you are on active duty in a place that separates you from your family for more then 30 days. i.e Iraq
