AGR has the same benefits as title 10 soldiers except there are title 32

    Here are links on Miltech

I found this facebook link interesting on the pay differences ---> http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?ui...78&topic=23935

I did ADSW while in the Guard and I was just cut orders for a specific time on active duty. I rated BAH type II but that was it. I have to find my old LES on those ADSW times.

Here is info on ADOS (which they seem to change the term from ADSW on these memos) and it shows there is an AC and RC ADOS difference.

ADOS (formerly ADSW) are entitled to full pay/full BAH, providing the contract is longer than 30 days. Also, technicians are "federal" employees and go off their pay scale, as opposed to the military's. Also, continued employment as a technician requires you to maintain a drilling status.

Sir, all those links make me work. However good links. I was looking for a simple answer like. Chaplains lead the way or something like that. Or that technicians are different from AGR in that....thanks for the links though, they are really helpful.

So do technicians have to wear uniforms?

I'm on ADOS right now. Nearing a year on orders. Like stated I get all the benefits and pay seeing as how I'm title 32. Downside, I can be terminated at any time due to funding vs AGR which is more stable as the AGR tours are typically 3 years from what I have seen. The technicians do wear the uniform and must abide by all the regulations, customs and courtesies that go along with it. However the technician pay scale is based off the federal system and therefore works toward that retirement vs an Active duty retirement. IE they can still get a retirement from the National Guard but all those days they worked as a technician they do not acquire points towards the NG retirement. Instead they build up thier federal retirement. Technician is not a bad gig and some positions can make a decent amount of money.

I think everyone gave you part of the puzzle but not quite all at once.

AGR's are either Title 10/32 Soldiers who recieve the same pay and benefits of an active duty Soldier. There are some differences between Title 10/32 and enlisted/officer.

Miltechs are civilians who are paid federal government wages. They can either be dual status (meaning they have to be drilling in a unit) or non dual status (meaning they only work for the government). The NG requires dual status miltechs to wear thier uniform and ties their rank to thier civlian position versus the reserve which doesn't.

ADOS and every other fund code that can put you on orders for over 30 days really doesn't apply and really gets confusing.
