  • Will the NG help me pay for my Doctorate or PhD?

I am really wanting to get some military experience after I finish my Masters so I have looked into the guard. I heard the NG will help me pay for my school as well. I am in KY and the school I want to attend is out of my state. Will the guard still assist me in obtaining my doctorate as long as it is regionally accreditted? I plan on going online. I wondered if there was some kind of web-page showing me ALL of the requirements for tution assistance and the guard.

Is the assistance reimbursed for whatever I accrue (i.e.), truly 100 percent? Or is their a maximum set-price the NG will pay a year using an average cost of tutition for similar schools and programs?

Pending the first few questions, would the money be reimbursed to me or would it be paid on my behalf?

How soon after Basic Training would I be able to recieve funds for school?

Thank you for your answers. I could not find this question anywhere.

P.S. I am only wondering about PhD and Doctorate degrees and not undergraduate or graduate degrees.

      Patrick,
Here is a link that will help you get started with answering all your questions about Healthcare Loans and Bonuses available in the National Guard - http://www.nationalguard.com/careers...uses-and-loans - Once you have reviewed that, you can also contact the AMEDD Rep by clicking "Request AMEDD Information" at the bottom of that page. It will send an email and you will be contacted. You can also call the 1-800-GOGUARD and requested to speak with the AMEDD operator. They are available Mon-Fri 8am-4pm EST. Good Luck and let us know if we can help.
