  • Post 9/11 GI Bill Question

ALCON: I have a question about education benefits.

    Important facts:

    1. I was a scholarship ROTC cadet
    2. I was involuntarily mobilized (title 10) in support of OEF prior to completion of my MSO

Does the time I was deployed make me eligible for the post 9/11 GI Bill?

I'm trying to do some post-Army planning and eligibility for this benefit will weigh heavily into the options I explore.

Not really sure what the issue is. Maybe worded funny? Post 9/11 is based on service dates and time in. If you deployed, that can only help you garner more time twords the Post 9/11 time requirements.

If you were a cadet on a cadet scholarship, you should not have had to delve into your GI Bill funds at all... If you did, then you have an issue.
