Those deployed overseas, or outside the continental United States (OCONUS) must be placed on the appropriate orders. Refer to a recruiter or regulation for details on qualifying orders.
    9. Soldiers not MOS qualified for the reasons stated above must become qualified within 24 months plus any future deployment dates from the contract date.
    10. A Soldier may not reenlist/extend if under any type of Suspension of Favorable Personnel Actions (SFPA).
    11. A Soldier in a Military Technician status is not authorized for the REB, even if deployed.
    12. A Soldier in an Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) position is not authorized for the REB, including those in a Troop Program Unit (TPU) while deployed.
    13. A Soldier who was eligible to extend for Deployment Extension Stabilization Pay (DESP) but chose not to participate is not eligible for this incentive until 12 months after their scheduled ETS or obligated service date.
    14. A Soldier currently under a DESP extension in which the mobilization was cancelled and has now surpassed their original ETS and is now eligible for discharge may reenlist providing they meet the requirements. Refer to regulation or recruiter for more details.
    15. A Soldier currently under a DESP extension in which the mobilization was cancelled and has not surpassed their original ETS may also extend providing they meet the requirements. Refer to the regulation or recruiter for more details.
    16. The REB incentive addendum must be properly completed, within the appropriate time frame, and by the authorized personnel. Refer to the regulation for more details.
    17. Issuing an REB before the contract signature date is not authorized.
    18. REB for both 3 and 6 years service contract is paid in lump-sum providing all requirements are met prior to contract date.

*An applicant should ALWAYS refer to their local recruiter for the most up-to-date information on payment installments and amounts. These can and do vary between states and often change overnight.
