  • an old guardsman asks about benefits

I was in the Army National Guard in Minnesota way back between 1953 & 1962. Are there any benefits I am eligiblr for? Who do I ask?

    Rog,

You need to take your discharge certificate to a VA representative that can assist you with your question.

Since you are not tracking your retirement points, are you sure that your 21 years were "good" years. That could be the reason for the lack of the letter or it was mailed someone else.

Your unit clerk can provide an RPAS statement, detailing your points. You should get one yearly. These things only get harder to fix with time.
