  • Air or Army?

    Hi All,

Recently took the ASVAB for AF and ended up with the following scores:
    AFQT - 93
    Mechanical - 95
    Administrative - 91
    General - 95
    Electronic - 91
    GT - 127

I have a BS in Business Management and hold a certificate in Yacht Design.

Needless to say I'm looking for a new challenge. I'm debating Air v. Army. What are thoughts on each?

    Re: Air or Army?

This is a really broad question and each will have a different opinion.

Each branch has it's benefits, it really depends on what you're looking for. The lifestyles are probably the biggest differences between these two branches. If you're looking a more comfortable lifestyle, Air Force is for you. The Army is a bit more down & dirty but is the largest branch with more jobs available and better promotion opportunities in general.

With your scores, you qualify for any job either branch has to offer. The bigger problem now is selecting a job you like and finding out if it's available.

Maybe if you let us know a bit more about what you're looking to get out of the military we can better assist you.

Too vague. What do you want to get out of the military. The Army NG and the Air Force NG are very different because the culture in each branch is very different. What jobs would you be interesting in.
