I've been looking into the military for a couple months now, first the USAR, then the AFR, and now finally the ANG. I want to go to college and plan to this upcoming year, being a senior in HS. However, I want to get hands on training and experience through the ANG as a 68w, medical specialist, as well. I think this is what I want to do with my life, join the NG, but there's still something in the back of my head that isn't definitely sure. For the record, I'm not afraid of deploying, I even welcome the idea eventually. There's is just something in the back of my mind which makes me apprehensive but I don't know what it is exactly. So what advice would you give someone in my position? Aside from the raw benefits and hands on training, what are some benefits and good experiences that cannot be accurately shown to you by a recruiter? Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
