  • JROTC rank

Quick question about enlisted rank. I'm going to be joining the guard soon, and I was studying the chain of command. I was reading through the requirements for rank (http://www.nationalguard.com/careers...and-promotions) and noticed that two years in JROTC can get you enlisted at E2. I completed JROTC my sophomore and junior years, earning the credit both years. Is there any extra requirement I need to enlist as E2?

No. You need to get with a recruiter and they will tell you what kind of paperwork you need.

Honestly, if you're shipping out at anything less than an E-2, your recruiter isn't doing a good job.

You'll need to get a performance cert from JROTC (easy enough.... ask the JROTC cadre) or a copy of your high school transcripts will *normally* suffice.

One more year would have gotten your E-3.
