  • Intense PTSD with being a Sniper?

I've looked and I can't really find an answer.

My ultimate is to be a Sniper in Special Forces. The son of my dad's co-worker is fixing to leave for Sniper School and then deploying.
I want to be a Sniper, but I have heard a lot of Snipers say it's something you do not want and a lot of people end up with intense PTDS.

I know PTDS is a very real thing and most anyone that sees combat, especially often, will experience some level of PTDS disorder. But does being a Sniper really make it worse?

I'm hoping some former/current Sniper can share me their experiences and and pro's and con's of the life of a Sniper?
