View Full Version : I'm a little concerned...

So I just got back from Basic and AIT about a month ago. I've done my final RSP drill and been handed off to my unit. I've met my unit and drill with them next weekend.

But I'm a bit concerned about a few things. One is...nobody has told me exactly how to go about getting my educational benefits. I've filled out the forms on the VA site and they said someone would get in contact with me. No one has. I've tried stopping by my educational office on numerous occasions only to be told no one is in, try going online. /:
On that road, I think I'm going to just keep flying by the educational office. So I'm not all too concerned. People are normally pretty well taken care of in that department right?

My second concern is about how sure College first is. I've met with my unit and no one gave me a real definite answer on whether college first is definite. I know the rules [Enroll in school 60 days after you've come back from training etc] But I wanted to make sure this was a definite thing. Is there someone I need to go through to 100% assure it? I'm not really too terribly concerned about going to Iraq. But it would really **** to think I'm not going and then learn two months or less prior that I actually am going.

And since I'm asking questions....does your GI Bill Kicker stack with the extra college first money?
