Forgive me for the re code question BUT...I was discharged years ago (1998) due to injury prior to basic training, and on the NGB form 22 I have the RE-3 with a separation code of AL. I am curious as to what the sep code stands for. I am unable to find any codes similar.

I was discharged due to the injury....(unable to go to basic in a certain amount of time..) relocation makes ZERO sense to me.. Bizarre.

Did you ever report to Basic or make contact with Meps or your recruiter about the injury?

When the injury happened- I notified the unit and the recruiter. ( who in turn notified meps) They decided not to send me when I was scheduled- and eventually they just out processed me..

If it is true what you say and Im not saying which way.
Then fight for it if you truly want in!
Do what ever you have to do, call a recruiter and gather up any and all information related and get moving.
They will have it on record and you can get the code changed or at least waivered

Yes, Ive already made a contact with a local recruiter and they seem like they are willing to assist. Thanks for the responses!
