hey i was wondering would you be able to go to the national guard to go and get your schooling and degree and all of that other stuff and also be able to go into the active army?

You are welcome to join the active component after you have completed your National Guard service obligation. Similarly, active component Soldiers may join the Guard after they complete their active service obligation.
