I have been reading about the travel benefits for the National Guard. It is a good perq and I would like to know all there is to know about it. Is there any opportunities for international travel associated with this perq, like maybe to Japan, Germany, Korea or any other countries the military flies to on a regular basis. Or is it limited to only flights inside the continental US plus all other US territories and states outside of the continental US?

As a member of the Army National Guard, you are eligible to travel free on military aircrafts when space is available. You can fly within and between the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico. For travel outside of the Continental United States (OCONUS) , you will have to pay for your own travel. Also, since you may have to wait for a flight departing to your desired location (and back) you may need to be flexible with the days you leave and return. Its a great benefit if it happens to work out for you though.
