well i will try to help you out. my husband left on sep. 4th for basic. i did not receive my first check until the 26th of sep. but then i got one like a week later on oct. 1. they get paid on the first and 15th of the month. we already had a regular banking account so we still can use it. before you leave just have youre money direct deposited so you and your better half will both be able to use it as long as both of you are on the account

Can someone submit a direct deposit form to your recruiter prior to leaving for training?

my recruiters told me that you will have to submit one when you get to basic training and you will have to submit another one at AIT (if it's at a different location). even if you submit one before leaving you wil do it again.

you should give one to your recruiter and take another one with you to basic just in case something happens that way they cant delay your paper work or make you open a new one with one of there local banks
