I want to join the ANG but I don't believe in killing

I am intrested in joining the ANG but I do not believe in going to war and killing people. I would love the oppurtunity to help citizens out in a state of emergency but other then that I would prefer office work in the US is this possible or is the ANG not for me.

I would have to say the military is not for you.

The military is an Armed Force. Sometimes you have to defend others with force and that could mean taking a life, as unlikely as it may be, you have to know and have a clear conscience that it could happen.

I would look into the peace corps or getting into the health field possibly. I'm a full-time EMT and although it's not a glorious job, it's rewarding knowing day in/day out you are helping someone who truly needs you.
