Bill HR 1815 section 543 was passed (which means it became law) on January 6, 2006 raising the enlistment age limit from 35 to 42.
H.R.1815 SEC. 543. INCREASE MAXIMUM AGE FOR ENLISTMENT.
Section 505(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking `thirty-five years of age' and inserting `forty-two years of age'. I'm 40 and have no prior service. I understand it's up to the individual services to decide whether to increase the max age for enlistment. It just so happens that the AD Army has, to 39 years 364 days. Please let me know of any other ways to enlist in the ANG, (I already know about the exceptions for a legal or medical background and prior service).
