Each state has its own procedure, which you can learn by speaking with your Readiness NCO in your unit, or your Recruiter.

Have your unit Readiness NCO set up an appointment with your state's Education Manager. The Ed Manager will ensure that you take full advantage of entitlements you can use in conjunction with state ed benefits.

If you speak with your Readiness NCO he should be able to handle that issue relativly quickly. In NJ all you have to do is get a commanders certification letter from the unit have it filled out and turn it in along with a dd214 to the school and thats it, your tuition is gone. Please let me know if there are any more questions that you might have in reference to this or any other subject.
