The CLC was mentioned in a post somewhere else on this website. My question was never answered, so maybe re-posting will help.
I was wondering...do you have to be a 91W to take this course or is any MOS able to take it? Is this something you have to apply for? Not sure how the whole thing works.
Thank you.

I think most combat MOS's are required to take the course.

I would assume infantry and things like that would need to take it - but I'm not allowed to pick those types of MOS because I have breasts! lol :D

Most state's RTI (Regional Training Institute) offer the CLS course. Attending the course is just a matter of asking your unit if they can get you a slot during one of the training cycles. This course is not a requisite for any particular MOS, however, if there's a unit within your state that has been mobilized you can expect the CLS vacancies to go to them first before they are offered to any other unit.

Medics would never have to take the course because everything taught to a combat lifesaver is taught to medics in their training.
