I am 34 yrs old, 5 yrs prior service as 67T (Blackhawk Crew Chief), Honorable discharge as E-5, and am looking to go back in. I was wondering what the max age is for flight school now days and if there are waivers available. I have approx 25 cr hrs of college and experience as a reserve police officer. If flight school is not an option, then what might be a good choice for me to enter as a walking warrant. I am not opposed to going back as an NCO, but I have been around many warrants and like the aspects of the warrant corp. If anyone has any info on bonuses and/or MOS' that might work please contact me. Thanks for the time.

Flight school max age is 32.

Speak with your state's warrant officer recruiter, and I think you'll find that you'll need another few years to make WO -- particularly now that you've had a break in service.

My recommendation is for you to get back in service, complete BNCOC, and then apply for WO. If you don't get selected, you can always reapply the next year.

Thanks for the info. Just got done talking to the Officer Management Recruiter for the state and she is contacting 1042nd Medivac unit commander to see about open flight slots. Supposedly Oregon is in need of aviation warrants, so there are waivers to be had. Crossing my fingers. Thanks again.
