I'm 44 years old, excellent health. Served six years in the California Air Guard, honorable discharge. Am I now to old to join any guard unit?

Ok well its not added we dont do it like that but we take the 6 years-1 - 5 years then 44 - 5 = 39 so oo yep you can join. so move to NJ and I will put you in some boots.

Thanks for the info Andrew. Maybe I should add something. The six years spent in the Guard, was weekend warrier duty, although I of course went through boot camp and tech school.
Does that six years count as 'real' six years?

My bad, I knew prior service time counted, but I was wrong how to figure it out. Know I got ya!! But I think I was right about 42 being mas age???

OK, thanks guys. Think I've got the big picture. Still have a few years before the wheelchair and drool cup beckon.
