Medical Records not found

What, in your opinions, would the MEPS do if my hospital and family doctor does not have records of my surgery when I was 5? I will have in a week a clean bill of health from my current doctor. Would they disqualify based on not enuff information or would they go with what they see during my exam there as well as what my current doctor says?

The hospital said they only keep records for 8 years and so did my old family doctor. I thought that was what microfilm was for, but thats just me.

I believe with a current exam and physical you should be okay. The MEPS Doc might send you on a consult too. As for the old records you should be able to state that the records are unable to be found due to length of time since surgery. Because of Katrina we have been unable to find some records and even some doctors. We just write the above mentioned statement in before going to MEPS. Hope this helps. Excellent, thank you for the information. Seems like if it's not one thing it's another going through this process. I can imagine the process is even harder where you are at after Katrina, good luck with everything there as well.
