I am thinking of joining the Idaho National Guard as 19D. Can anyone give me an idea of what a typical drill weekend would be like for this MOS?

You're interested in a year old thread on an enlisted MOS that's posted in the officer section? But not interested enough to look in the correct section of the forum? That's interesting.

He probably just did a search for 19D and didn't see how old or where this topic was posted

Yeah, not to be a ****, but that highspeed attention to detail is just exactly what we need rolling convoys as a 19D.

When not BIVOUACing:

Saturday

0530: wakeup
0600: formation
0630: chow
0700: pick up weapon
0800-1200: Range
1200: Chow
1300-1600: Range
1600-1700: clean and turn in weapon
1700: formation
1730: chow
1800: free time

Sunday:

Same schedule until 0700.

0700: Clean barracks
1000: Convoy out, return to armory

At armory: washrack, clean weapons, clean equipment and put away, play spades.

Well, that was 5 years ago. Maybe with more units getting deployed, they have picked up speed.
