Im considering enlisting in the California Nat. Guard, Im currently 36 and never served in the Military, i am considering being an mp, was wondering if the training, and such would help me get a Law enforcement job in the future.

Also I never registered with the Selective Service, its not something i did on purpose, i just didnt know much about it, i did call them and was told i should have been sent something but their records showed i didnt receive anything from them, was told i was one of a very few that slipped through the cracks, they did tell me i tried to registar when i was 27 but i was a year to late, thus being 36 now could this prevent me from getting into the Guard?

No it wont stop you from joining. Being an MP doesnt give you much advantage in getting a police job on the outside, just being a member of the military alone gives you an advantage. Being a Military Police is a little tought for civilian police departments because they have to tame you so to speak because your used to being able to use allot of force not allowed on the outside. So do it if you like it but know that just being in the military with any job will get you the same advantage as being a MP maybe more if your not an MP. Just the way I have seen it.

The majority of MPs I know holds a Enforcement job. Does it help? Of course it does!
