Question 1: I was honorably discharged with a RE-3C code due to my inability to fulfill orders to Japan due to my wife's illness. I am currently working with Naval Review Board to correct code BUT can this just be waivered with a letter from my wife's doctor?

Question 2: I was interested in re-enlisting in another MOS, in the USMC I was a 5937 Aviation Radio Repair with a billet of 5912 Avenger Repairer. I would prefer a more interesting job 13 or 19 Mos field. I would even be interested in 63B since I work as a mechanic. Do I have the ability to change MOSs or can I get ojt?

Question 3: I left the USMC as am E-5 in July 2001. Since so much time has gone by will I keep my rank or be anywhere near it?

Thanks

ok lets answer the most important question YOU WILL KEEP YOUR RANK, if you enlist now, after 10 years you lose rank.

You can switch MOSs, you can go to what we call AIT for the different MOSs that you would want, or they can see if yours switches over.

honorably discharged is a good thing basicaly means welcome back, but the RE-3c means ineligible unless an applicable waiver for the narrative reason/spd code

you didnt meantion the listed narrative reason so i cant tell you,but it sounds like it is waivable, if that infact is the case
