Are females able to become Health care specialists? And does it do me any good having already obtained my paramedic license in the civilian world?

There are many female 68W, formetly 91W, formerly 91B (showing age here). The only restriction being female has is that you wouldn't be put in a combat arms unit. I was a NREMT-P and state EMT-P when I went in. I was able to get MOSQ's through Army Civilian Acquired Skills program. I worked for three weeks OJT, then got awarded the MOS and E-4. That was many years ago so ask your recruiter if the program still exists.
