Hello all, I have been checking into the officer commissioning programs and really like what the Guard offers when comparing with the other Service branches but have always wondered if a Guard commission (Accelerated State OCS option) is the "same" or "equal" to a commission from the other Services - Army, Navy, AirForce? In other words, is a Guard commission recognized by the other Services? As an example: Would a Guard officer, commissioned by a State OCS, for whatever reason, be eligible to serve in another reserve component or active duty with the regular Army, Navy?
