not trying to sound like a pansy or nothing, but i miss it.

i was discharged for personality disorder - was admitted to mental health inpatient twice. was on active duty had finish training and everything.

im still undergoing medication and psychiatrist treatments. Was wondering, is there anyways i can server my local national guard unit? i know for a fact im non deployable. im on antipsychotics and anti depressants.

but im wondering, can i (a)work for my unit, or (b) be enlisted in my unit and just stay stateside? I know im not stable enough to be overseas or in any type of high stress environment, i just want to be apart of my local unit here in my city.

do they do waivers like that by any chance?

Most states have a Defense Force or militia, which is a voluntary force to support the National Guard and local emergency response. It is often made up largely of National Guard retirees, but usually anyone can join. Of course the Defense Force does not leave the state. Speak to your local Recruiter about this.
