Once you have completed the obligation on your contract (i.e., your ETS date), you are welcome to pursue enlistment in the active component. Be advised that you may lose rank, and may be forced to reclassify to another MOS.
You may request to leave service prior to your ETS date, but remember that (1) this is a request, and (2) you may need to repay financial incentives, so ensure you know about this prior to signing anything.
