Considering we are allies, would it not be right to atleast recognize the prior service of British Military Soldiers, I am not looking for credit towards pension just credit for prior service.

Credit for service in foreign militaries is explicitly forbidden by regulations, and perhaps by law as well. While you get no formal credit, your experience will certainly set you above your peers, and thus your superior performance and accomplishment should put you ahead of the pack soon enough.
I would expect that few, if any, countries would grant any sort of formal credit for foreign military service.
