What is the difference between a NGB-22 and a DD-214?

I was never active duty other than for BCT and AIT, I am thinking of going back in after being out since 2000, I dont have a copy of a DD-214, but do have a NGB-22 and my Honorable Discharge paper.

Do I even have a DD-214?

That stuff did not mean much to me when I was in, but now that Im older and care about these things , I realize that I should have done more, and paid attention to this stuff back then.

The National Guard uses a NGB-22 instead of a DD-214. Unless you were ever activated, you will not have DD-214.
