Well what would matter here is what your narrative reason for discharge is that gave you that RE-4.

Now a RE4 from the navy/coast guard can be waivered so all depends what the reasoning behind your discharge

Perhaps possible, but certainly not easy. You'll need to have completed a drug counseling program and have a certificate or letter of completion. Your letters of reference will help. Bring all docs in to a recruiter that knows what he or she is doing. (not some newbie). This is a tough one. Once the waiver is submitted, be prepared to wait a long time. Maybe a couple of months or more. Like I said, it is a difficult waiver to have approved, but it is possible if everything is properly documented. Good Luck.

I am also still waiting on my waiver. It has been since end of January since mine was submitted and I still haven't heard anything. MY recruiter told methe xo of recruiting command in CA is supposedly is taking care of it, but that was two weeks ago and still nothing.
