Im am going to be 20 years old in a couple weeks and have already been told i have a hurneated disc and a couple discs are showing signs of premature wear, nothing serious but enough wear for him to mention it. I typically lead a very active life (mountain biking, snowboarding, backpacking) and have very few problems with my back, just mild discomfort at times. I am very confident that personally i could handle any of the tasks i am given without being slowed down or stopped due to my back. I was just currious if anyone else has had to try and get a problem like this waived or anything because i am set on joining and this seems to be the only obsticle. Any tips or ideas on what to expect or how to get around it (yes i already told my recruiter) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am prior Marine, just went in the Guard. I have had 4 disk surgeries and I didn't need a waiver. It really depends on what your doctor writes on the paperwork.
