I want to do the split op program for the army but my birthday is late in may i am wondering if it will be hard to get in the program because i am told that their are only a certain amout of slots available and if i wouldnt what about the split op for the national gaurd is that also hard to get in..

I'm not entirely sure where you're getting this information, but perhaps something got garbled in the transmission.
There are limits on the number of people we can send to certain schools at certain times -- obviously, the barracks at Ft Jackson can only fit so many bodies at once. Therefore, if you really want a summer date (which most people want), then you should sign up as far ahead of time as possible, so you get a seat before they're all taken. Your Recruiter and MEPS counselor will work with you on this.

To tuch on what the Major said. Your B-day is an issue for the split training option. STO must be done in the summer. Most jobs that train in the summer fill very fast. Now I am not saying that you can't do STO. It could still happen you need to get with a recruiter and they can call MEPS and ask if a certin MOS is open or closed.
