Does anyone know about the dental exam they give you? My teeth aren't in great shape...

Neither are mine. The doc didn't do anything but look at my teeth for two seconds during my first trip to MEPS. I hope they don't try to find something "wrong" at Reception.
I wonder what dental problems could disqualify a person?

same situation as me, not the best teeth few cavaties...i was at MEPS today we ended up having two doctors doin our exams because of the number of us recruits waiting...of course i had the doc that wanted to check very throughly while the others had the one that didnt check as much..anyways yes he checked my teeth, wrote down cavaties then said i would get the fixed at my first duty station...heard advice though sayin to have my own dentist work on em instead of down there they...i passed so dont worry to much about them checkin your teeth at MEPS but they will at reception for sure, hope this helps.

They dont care too much about them at MEPS because it is true you get them fixed to an extent at reception. The only problem is they have training dentist's working on your teeth so there is a high probability of screw ups, and i have heard the novacaine doesnt work at all.

Okay yeahd dude if your teeth are in bad shape then they won't accept you. Your goig to go back in get your teeth work on before you go i mean if its in really bad shape.
