I had a physical for the ROTC program on Thursday. The eye doctor said that I had an eye problem (lazy eye) that disqualified me but made an appointment for a full exam. The ROTC guy said there shouldn't be a problem getting a waiver, but I'm worried! Does anyone know if it really is easy to get a waiver?

It's not necessarily easy to get a medical waiver, but it does happen. It costs you nothing, so I strongly recommend that you try. I also recommend that you get a consultation with your family physician, and see what he has to say about the condition, its origin, treatment options, and likelihood of interference with military duties. Get his medical opinion in writing, and present that as part of the waiver packet.
