My question is this: I have 1 year of grad school under my belt. I will be transferring to a new school with the plan of starting this summer. I want to enlist in the Virginia ANG but am not sure whether to go for the split option and do BCT this summer and AIT the next, or go to school this summer and fall and then do BCT and AIT starting in the Spring. Any advice?

My personal opinion is to do BCT/AIT all at once. This way when you go from one to the other you are still in shape and you won't have any problems with PT. Also you will have everything you need to know still fairly fresh in you mind.

Go talk to a Recruiter. They will tell you what the state provides for tuiton assitance. Then talk to them about your option of split or stright through. It can come down to do I want help paying for college, skip a semester or do I want to split training up so I don't miss any school.
