Before contacting a recruiter, I was interested in learning more about the National Guard's Counter-Drug program. Was the program strictly designed to educate law enforcement? Or is it, as i've been lead to believe, one of the many careers the National Guard offers?

The counter-drug program is not just to educate law enforcement. There are Guardsmen and women that work the counter drug field. I can not speak for other states, but in Vermont, we have Kiowa helocopter patrols that look for crops with infrared and thermal imagry, they work closely with local law enforcement in their drug inderdiction and erradication programs. There is not an MOS that specifically trains in these programs, but any soldier with a background in MI, Infantry, aviation, or law enforcement should do well in this program.
