I am in college right now and I want to join the guard to be an officer. Because I did college a little differently, ROTC would be harder to do than OCS. I scored a 91 on the ASVAB with a 125 GT score so I understand that should fulfill at least one requirement. SO, onto the questions.

1. Do I need to have my BA to enlist OCS, or, will my 109 credit hours suffice?

2. Is it true there are no bonuses for OCS enlistment?

3. When does the next OCS class begin?

4. What is the chance I would be able to transfer to active duty army after commissioning to pursue a full time military career?

Thanks for any help anyone has.

1. Must have 60 credits to start OCS, 90 credits to commission, and a BA to get promoted to captain (else you'll lose your commission).
2. I can't speak to enlisted incentives, but I wouldn't be surprised. Currently, however, there is a $10k commissioning bonus once you have completed OCS, and BOLC-II/III.
3. You'll need to complete Basic Training first, so get onboard now in order to be back in time to make the next class.
4. If you want to serve in the active component, then speak with an active component recruiter for their OCS.

I can hook you up either way. I ran Virginia's officer recruiting for three years. Please give me a private message or email with your telephone number and a time to call so we can discuss your situation and your options. These forums are a good tool, but they can't replace a conversation.
