Sounds like you're dehydrated. Try drinking lots of water throughout the day. (a little at a time.) carry a water bottle around with you all day and constantly take sips from it. When it's empty, fill it up, or get another one. You should drink about 8 bottles of water each day to be fully hydrated. ( I know it seems like a lot, but try it and you'll be amazed in the difference) Also make sure you are warming up and stretching before you run. This will also help to reduce muscle cramps.

Eat some banana's before you run. They contain potassium which help to relieve cramps.

When i used to get cramps i would just keep running and take bigger strides after about 3 miles the cramps would go away.
