I have an Army RE 4 with a seperation code of KFS. I live in Idaho and the recruiter tried to put an AG waiver through so that I could reenlist using the KFS and not the RE code. The waiver would have been approved had it not been for the amount of lost time. I have a recent MEPS on file and am ready to go if any recruiters would like to try the waiver in there state. Thanks,
-Bill

last week had a hearing with the board in washington dc and they changed my re code from a 4 to a 1 my changed dd214 wil now be here in a week or two and i found out if i just apply to the board and have a personal hearing with them that it is possible for most cases to get your re code changed you just have to submit a dd-293 form so fo ru people out there it can be done trust me

Hey Signal06,
How was the Discharge Reveiw Board? What kind of things did they ask? I'm currently in the process of doing the DD 293. Did they urgrade your type of discharge or just the RE code? Drop me an email if you would rather not post. Thanks!!

If there is no waiver available for an RE-4 code (OTH) could that be positively affected by reenlisting say in the Army National Guard and upon successful completion of time served get the RE-4 changed and if the OTH couldn't be changed would the honorable discharge from the ANG override the previous OTH?

I have a RE code of 4 with a medical retirement. I have tried to get back in the Army for 6 years without success. I am completly healed from a condition that put me out and have 2 Doctor exams to prove it. I will be trying a DD 293 shortly but I'm uncertain that it will work with a medical retirement. Does anyone know if it is possible.

I received an RE4 for a pattern of misconduct. Is there any way I can get into the NG? I would like to do this ASAP. I was a Marine before and lost too many friends. If at all possible, I would like to go infantry. I am down here in FL now and would like to get this done ASAP. What do I have to do?
